Steinberg has announced a new DAW that I believe window based podcasters should be excited about. I do not know the exact release date, but the price is very competitive. This program has a very similar look and feel with Apple Garage Band. There will be more blogs written about this exciting new program as the release date comes near. The pop filter is a very important device that helps improve the sound quality of your podcast. It helps prevent your microphone from "popping." This is caused when you say words with the letter "P" in them. When you say a word like podcast, your mouth makes a small wind while forming the "P" sound. The popfilter takes away some of the intensity from the word, and smoothes out the sound wave.
